About us

Seedspace Cape Town is a coworking space and community for individuals and teams doing interesting, innovative and impactful work. We're situated in Spin Street in the middle of Cape Town's central and East city districts where our shared workspace and clubhouse is home to a vibrant mix of members working in a diversity of disciplines, such as technology, business development, web services, architecture, design, the arts, journalism, academia, and just about anything you can put your mind to. We are proud of our robust local-to-global community of startups, entrepreneurs, innovators, forward-thinkers, digital nomads and friends, to whom we provide amazing working and meeting spaces as well as an engaging program of supporting activities.

As a founding member of the Seedspace global network of coworking hubs, we are working with Seedstars to positively impact people's lives in emerging markets through entrepreneurship & technology.

Our coworking space spans across a variety of original, elegantly revamped rooms in bustling Spin Street. We have three distinct, convenient membership tiers with a range of functionality to suit your needs. We offer flexible shared desks, dedicated desks for individuals and teams, private suites, and ample breakaway areas for meetings and calls. Our super-fast unlimited fibre internet is reliable and uncapped, included in all memberships. Join our thriving community here.

Seedspace Cape Town is located in three adjacent turn-of-the-century heritage buildings - nestled neatly across from historic Church Square in the most central neighbourhood in Cape Town's CBD, right next door to Parliament and in the heart of an energetic cultural precinct. Around the corner you'll find the best coffee and three (!) great bagel shops, amongst our city's key public spaces, Company Gardens, galleries, eateries, social attractions, bars, nightlife...
all you really need, really.

We host a growing program of events in our spaces, including industry meet-ups, networking mixers, talk events, workshops & classes, corporate & private functions, culture nights, exhibitions, performances, film & photographic shoots, and various community-driven social activities that nurture our ecosystem. We can also help you design your own unique event or simply provide one of our suitable venues – please fill in our brief booking form here and we will get back to you.

Seedspace Cape Town has always been about more than just a shared workspace. True coworking is about a community of professionals who work alongside each other on a regular basis and support each other to produce better work and lead better lives. Our members become friends, collaborators, consultants and colleagues. We work on a monthly membership model with an emphasis on long-term memberships, and also love to accommodate short term and temporary visitors. The mix of resident locals and visiting internationals keeps our community dynamic and brimming with new ideas and energy.

We're smack-bang in the centre of the City of Cape Town, just outside the gates of Parliament, opposite Church Square, upstairs from Bread, Milk and Honey café (between Adderley & Plein Street).

There is paid street parking in the area, and free street parking a short walk up the road in and around Hope Street.

We encourage members and visitors to walk, cycle, skate, taxi, uber or catch the MyCiTi bus. We don't have a helipad, yet.
